As you enter the unmarked doors, you grow curious as to whether or not you are in the right place. But fear no more, because a couple steps down the hall is a bar to the right hand-side.
And what better way to quell that angst than with a nice bar-brewed beer! Brewer’s Art is a nice little nook in the great neighborhood of Mount Vernon that brews its own beers and has a nice restaurant to match. Even the bar food was a little pricy (cheapest entree was $12.)
It’s not for your after-class pint but it’s definitely a nice place for your parents to take you to when they’re in town.
It’s quite an active pub, even for a 5PM on a Thursday afternoon, with a nice atmosphere and young professionals filling the seats.
Personally, I had the bacon cheeseburger with an Ozzy beer to guzzle down. These beers are meant for the connoisseurs, not quite like Natty Boh’s. But, it’s always nice to treat yourself sometimes.
Anyway, if you’re looking for great food and good drinks with the price-tag to match then Brewer’s Art is for you.
And as you sign the wallet-cleaning check and are on your way out, you come full circle- curiosity growing as to how you’ve never heard of this bar before. And how you could spend that much on food.
